Amy is a licensed therapist and a nationally certified counselor and has been in the field of mental health and addictions since 1989. She graduated from The University of Massachusetts in 1991 with a BS in Psychology and from The University of New Mexico in 1997 with her Masters in Counselor Education.
Amy has trained in a variety of settings such as residential treatment centers, crisis shelters, psychiatric hospitals, private practice and intensive workshops. For nine years she worked at The Life Healing Center of Santa Fe as The Director of Admissions and Aftercare, National Marketing Coordinator, Group, Individual and Family Therapist and Director of Medical Records.
Amy has successfully combined her extensive knowledge of eating disorders, chemical dependency, sexual abuse, emotional trauma, affective disorders, PTSD, sexual compulsivity and personality disorders with the skills of clinical assessment, individual treatment planning and implementation, program development, marketing and quality assurance.
Amy oversees the remote intake and utilization review departments at Treatment Consultants and is proud of the customer service oriented relationships she had developed with some of the country’s best treatment programs. With over 25 years of management experience, Amy places a premium on the team approach to treatment and leadership.
Lynn Sucher, MC, LPC
Co-Founder, Treatment Consultants
Lynn Sucher co-founded Treatment Consultants with Amy Lashway in 2004. Lynn currently consults with the behavioral healthcare field, specializing in launching IOP’s, PHP’s and RTC’s as well as working to reorganize underperforming programs. Lynn has extensive training and experience in the field of chemical dependency, eating disorders, and treatment facility management. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Counseling from Arizona State University.
As a former corporate vice president in the field of broadcasting, Lynn has over twenty years of experience in advertising, market research and senior management. During her time in broadcasting, she was the recipient of several Emmys as well as other national and international awards for her work in TV.
Lynn left the broadcasting industry to become a psychotherapist and has enjoyed the journey of changing careers in midlife. After graduate school, Lynn worked at the Meadows and Rosewood Ranch as a primary therapist. She also worked at Psychological Counseling Services in Scottsdale, AZ, specializing in sex addiction and eating disorders, as well as working with executives and professionals. She had a private practice in Scottsdale for over five years, but missed working with a clinical team in a residential setting.
Lynn later became Executive Director of Rebecca’s House, a residential program for eating disorders in Orange County, CA and was also Interim Executive Director of Montecatini in Carlsbad, CA and consulted with the Eating Disorder Division of CRC. In 2004, Amy Lashway and Lynn founded Treatment Consultants. She has been consulting with eating disorder, substance abuse and behavioral health facilities around the country ever since.
In 2014, Lynn joined the Elements Behavioral Health team as their resident “nomad”. As National Executive Director, She was part of the acquisition team and helped to integrate new facilities into the Elements Behavioral Health family. She also acted as a “fixer” and worked with facilities that were experiencing all types of challenges.
In 2016 Lynn left Elements to become the Chief Operating Officer of Newport Academy and led a significant expansion of the company in both California and Connecticut.
She also helped to turn around a facility for Calo Programs in Virginia. In early 2018, she decided to put roots down outside of Atlanta and happily returned to consulting.
Becca Schwilling, BA
Director of Operations
A Summa Cum Laude graduate from the College of Santa Fe, Becca first entered the mental health profession in Milieu Services at The Life Healing Center of Santa Fe, gaining experience with trauma resolution, substance and process addictions, crisis management, and psychiatric medications.
With a background in Art Therapy, Becca calls upon her experience in the field of mental health and holistic medicine, as well as personal and professional experience in addictions and mental health issues, to offer compassionate understanding of the challenges and struggles that clients face. Becca extends support, education and coaching to clients and their families as they move through the process of recovery, utilizing an aptitude for creating genuine, human connection with others.
Additionally, Becca oversees the insurance billing services and many of the day to day operations of Treatment Consultants and has been an integral part of the management team since 2006.
